This year the annual Academy of Country Music will not save a seat for Reba McEntire, she will be on the stage most of the time.

AceShowbiz - The 42nd annual Academy of Country Music will see Reba McEntire again, this time as the host. The event organizer had announced on March 22 that the country diva will be kept in the schedule for the May 15th night.

Commenting upon this involvement McEntire said, "I'm so flattered. I'm thrilled to be heading back to Las Vegas to help put on the greatest show in country music." For the record, McEntire has been a frequent attendee of the event as she won 11 of the awards throughout the past years. She has also received the awards' nomination 41 times.

The event will be held in Las Vegas and broadcast live on CBS starting from 8 p.m. EDT. The nominations have been announced on March 5 with veteran singer George Strait leading at 8 nominations.

McEntire is a Grammy Awards winning singer who has garnered the title "The Queen of Country Music" thanks to the high number of records that she sold. She is famous for her lively stage act and also her hits such as "Whoever's in New England" and "Fancy".
