Suga is ready to fly with his latest solo offering titled "D-Day". Released under the moniker Agust D, the new record marks his debut solo album after two previous mixtapes and features hit singles that sent him to the top spot on Billboard's Emerging Artists chart.

"People Pt. 2" featuring fellow k-pop artist IU bowed at summit on the Digital Song Sales, Rap Digital Song Sales, and World Digital Song Sales charts. It additionally broke into top 20 on Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart and top 25 on Billboard Global 200.

Another big hit is "Haegeum", the second track listed in "D-Day". Upon its release, it quickly landed at No. 1 on Billboard Hot Trending Songs. "AMYGDALA" also showed its strong potential to climb the chart as it trended at the third position on the list powered by Twitter.

If the promising performances displayed by those songs are any indications, Suga could make a strong debut on the U.S. all-genre album chart, Billboard Hot 200. Sure enough, after the album was released, it quickly sold over a million copies worldwide on its first day, surpassing the record sales previously set by his BTS bandmate Jimin.

While it's great to see his music soar on the charts, Suga insisted being able to unload his charged emotions through his songs was more important for him. "I talk about my trauma or feelings that I need to overcome through my albums. And I think I feel more liberated by it. And feeling more liberated helps me grow a little more and it affects my next album or music a lot," he explained in an interview.

He also said, "I have always made music honestly and I don't think I try to make it more straightforward. I did what I have been doing, but personally, I think there is a little more I can say when I make my own music than for the team."
