Kylie Minogue

Even after thirty years in the music industry, Kylie Minogue remains one of the most beloved singers in the world. Although she has released a number of greatest hits compilation albums throughout the years, fans are still buying them all to the point where the albums debut at No. 1 on music charts. An example of that is her latest compilation album entitled "Step Back in Time: The Definitive Collection".

Released on June 28 through BMG and Parlophone, the album debuted at No. 1 in both Australia and the United Kingdom. In the country of Kangaroos, "Step Back in Time" topped Australian Album Chart, Australian Artist Albums and Vinyl Albums charts, making her the first artist to top all three charts simultaneously. In the U.K. the album became her seventh chart-topping album on UK Albums Chart, making her the female artist with the second-most No. 1 on the chart.

As if that wasn't enough achievement for the superstar, Kylie made history when took the stage at 2019 Glastonbury Festival for the first time, fourteen years after her breast cancer diagnosis forced her to cancel her 2005 headlining slot. Not only her performance, which featured guest appearances from Nick Cave and Chris Martin, was a big hit for fans, but it also received rave reviews from music critics.

Laura Snapes of The Guardian gave her headlining set a five star, declaring it a "solid-gold," "peerless" and "phenomenal" performance. Sarah Carson and Pascale Hughes from iNews also gave a five star for the performance, noting, "It was a brilliant end to a triumphant and radiant hour that neither she, nor the audience, wanted to end."

As mentioned above, her Glastonbury set was a big hit among so many people that it broke records for the most attended Glastonbury set in history. Her performance was named the most-watched set of the weekend on TV with 3 million viewers.
