the twist/reveal happens too early in the proceedings, bursting the mystery bubble and resulting in a long, drawn-out anticlimactic second-half that's disappointingly generic. It's all old-school Slasher Movie 101
the film propelled by a confident lead performance from Alexandra Daddario; It also hinges on a big plot twist, so all I will say for now is that it's the best Satanic Panic-inspired horror movie I have seen this year
it's like a good Blumhouse movie, told in elegantly framed images, and though the situation is extreme, the violent action is staged in a manner that one might describe as the understated version of over-the-top; it's a horror ride worth taking
