the movie's attempt at a big emotional confrontation at the end just feels like padding, as does the extended denouement. ... Basically, without Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, there wouldn't be any reason for this movie to exist
like most house-party movies, this one goes off the rails pretty quickly; a lot of the jokes are broadly silly or scatological, a type of humor that feels more typically Rogen/Franco than Fey/Poehler
in real life, comedy wonder twins Fey and Poehler have been buds for two decades, and their palpable chemistry gives this gleefully silly comedy its pizazz
