Amy Miller Gross can't decide whether she wants this to be a wacky comedy or more measured character study; A movie like "Sister of the Groom" is more exasperating than one that's just lazy or plain old bad, because it clearly has real ambitions

"Sister of the Groom" is an almost-delightful rom-com, but it never commits to the bit; with so many problems to solve and only a 92-minute runtime to do it, Audrey is too winded by the end of the film to arrive at meaningful solutions
