uplifting, involving and funny; the film has a heart and Lopez displays hers on her sleeve, as the notion of a second chance - or a second act - comes into play
Peter Segal manage to incorporate a surprising range of elements into this glossy package; The film even has something to say, at least glancingly, about class prejudice in the real world, although in true Hollywood fashion the message is paradoxical
