there's entertainment value in its craziness. It's certainly not something to get lost in, but as eye candy with a manic spirit, it just might do the trick, especially for viewers coming to the movie with lowered expectations for dramatic satisfaction
the worst of the film's sins is its mistreatment of Milla Jovovich; Jovovich does her best with her limited screen time, but so much of Alan Yuen's script just asks her to be exasperated by Zhao's antics (and nothing more)
