with its wacky space shit, off-kilter gore, creepy atmospherics, and hammy breakdown, most of which happen all at the same time, "Colour Out of Space" is, inarguably, one hell of a trip. It's just not a trip that everyone is going to enjoy taking

Richard Stanley's "Color Out of Space" is a satisfying shot at bringing a classic of the sci-fi/horror genre to modern audiences
Nicolas Cage, H.P. Lovecraft and Richard Stanley make for compelling bedfellows in this unexpectedly hilarious sci-fi horror, which with an atmosphere so thick it could choke most audience members re-affirms Stanley as a majorly worthwhile talent
gorgeous, vibrant, and terrifying, "Color Out of Space" is packed with Lovecraftian creatures and cosmic infections galore. It's not perfect but goddamn is it a wild ride
