In his early years pursuing a career in film industry, Jeremy Lee Renner juggled acting and makeup artist to make ends need. His film debut in 1995 comedy "National Lampoon's Senior Trip" led him to supporting roles in numerous films and TV series, including "The Time of Your Life" (1999), "Angel" (2000), and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (2001). Afterwards billed to star as serial-killer Jeffrey Dahmer in 2002 biopic "Dahmer", the California native gained his first ever award nomination, namely the Independent Spirit Award Best Actor.

The next year, Renner received more exposure with his starring role in action flick "S.W.A.T." that also starred Colin Farrell. Continuing to give solid performance in his forthcoming projects afterwards, he broaden his acting talents by taking various genres, ranging from sexual harassment drama "North Country" (2005) to independent films, such as "Neo Ned" (2005), to comedy "Love Comes to the Executioner" (2006). In 2007, Renner acted in "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" alongside Brad Pitt, "28 Weeks Later", and "Take" opposite Minnie Driver.

His breakthrough approached after he got into the shoes of Sergeant William James in hit thriller "The Hurt Locker" (2009), winning him several Best Actor awards and Best Actor Oscar and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations. The success sure became Renner's stepping stone into bigger and more promising movies, like "The Town", "Thor", "The Avengers", "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol". Renner's other films "The Bourne Legacy", "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters", and "American Hustle" also went success that he became in-demand actor in showbiz. As of 2014, the hunk already had three prominent films waiting to be released, "Kill the Messenger", "Avengers: Age of Ultron", and "Mission: Impossible 5".
