Jaden Smith Biography

news-detailsBorn to famous parents, Will Smith and Jada Pinket Smith, Jaden Smith has successfully established his own acting career apart from Will and Jada's influences and shadows. As a child he made his acting debut in the 2003 show "All of Us", created by his own parents. Three years later he starred in his first feature film "The Pursuit of Happyness", starring alongside dad Will as father and son. The film successfully became a box office smash and he was honored with an MTV Movie Award for Breakthrough Performance.

The younger Smith afterwards made an appearance in Disney Channel's popular show "The Suite Life of Zach and Cody" (2008) in addition to starring in science fiction thriller "The Day the Earth Stood Still", which won him a Saturn Award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor. Jaden gradually experienced his big break in film business with his starring role as Dre Parker in the 2010 remake of "The Karate Kid" alongside senior actor Jackie Chan. Greater than that, he also ventured into music, recording the film's official theme song "Never Say Never" alongside pop sensation Justin Bieber.

In 2011, he was featured in Bieber's 3-D concert film "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" and continued appearing in the 2013 action adventure flick "After Earth". Speaking of his preference to act in action genre instead of drama, Jaden once explained, "I don't like movies that make you cry. But if girls like dramas, then I'll do it!"

Jaden was born Jaden Christopher Syre Smith in Malibu, California on July 8, 1998. He was once romantically linked to Stella Hudgens, the younger sister of actress and singer Vanessa Hudgens. By 2014, it was reported that he was dating socialite Kylie Jenner.
