It was the role that catapulted her to prominence and granted her notable roles in future projects, including as Juliet Capulet in "Romeo and Juliet", as Zoey Renner in "3 Days to Kill", and as Violet Mulligan in "Begin Again". She, moreover, could also be seen starring as Emily in "Pitch Perfect 2" released in 2015.

Steinfeld was born December 11, 1996 in Tarzana, Los Angeles, California. Her older brother Griffin Steinfeld is a NASCAR driver. In 2011, she was announced as the face of famous brand Miu Miu. In the same year, she was one of the presenters at the prestigious Golden Globes.

Steinfeld began her career as a pop star after landing a record deal with Republic Records in 2015. Her debut single, "Love Myself", came out in summer that year and became a radio hit. It peaked at No. 30 on Billboard Hot 100 and has been certified platinum in several countries. The song was lifted off the star's debut EP "Haiz" which was released on November 13 that year.

Steinfeld scored her biggest hit yet in 2016 with dreamy and catchy EDM-pop tune "Starving". She teamed up with duo Grey and DJ Zedd for the track, which was released in July and has so far reached No. 12 on Billboard Hot 100.
