Dylan O'Brien Biography

He was raised in Springfield Township, New Jersey until the age of twelve before his family relocated to Hermosa Beach, California. He initially considered pursuing sports broadcasting as a career, but changed his mind and instead decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.

By the time he was 14 years old, O'Brien began posting original videos onto his YouTube channel which later caught the attention of a local producer/director who tapped him to work for her web series. While working on the web series, he met a manager through an actor friend and was quick to land his first acting gig. The popular teen drama "Teen Wolf" aired on MTV marked his film debut while at the same time also earned him his biggest role to date, that of "Stiles" Stilinski. The character won him two Young Hollywood Awards and a Teen Choice Award.

In line with the series' success, O'Brien became popular than ever. And his high rising fame made it easier for him to land roles in film features, like "High Road" (2012) and "The Internship" (2013). He, moreover, also starred in "The First Time", during when he met actress girlfriend Britt Robertson. In 2014, the actor tasted big break in film through his starring role as Thomas in "The Maze Runner". He was billed to reprise his role in its follow up "The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials" (2015).
