The Happytime Murders is an upcoming American adult comedy film directed by Brian Henson and starring Melissa McCarthy, Elizabeth Banks, Maya Rudolph, and Joel McHale. The film is based on the 2008 novel of the same name by Todd Berger. The film follows a puppet detective who investigates the murder of his former partner. The film is scheduled to be released on August 17, 2018.
