Watch the TV spot for "The Meg", an upcoming action thriller film directed by Jon Turteltaub and starring Jason Statham, Li Bingbing, Rainn Wilson, and Ruby Rose. The film is based on the 1997 novel of the same name by Steve Alten. In the film, Statham plays Jonas Taylor, a deep-sea rescue diver who is recruited to save a group of scientists and crew members from a massive, prehistoric shark known as the Megalodon. The TV spot features thrilling footage of the Megalodon attacking two young girls, as well as Statham's character fighting to save them. The film is set to be released in theaters on August 10, 2018.
