Hollywood Veterans are rallying behind Kevin Spacey, calling for his acting return as the former 'House of Cards' actor faces renewed scrutiny from the documentary 'Spacey Unmasked'.

AceShowbiz - Sharon Stone, Liam Neeson, and other prominent actors are raising their voices in support of Kevin Spacey, addressing recent allegations from the documentary "Spacey Unmasked." Spacey, who has been absent from Hollywood since a slew of sexual misconduct allegations emerged in 2017, has found allies in his peers, who believe in his character and talent.

In statements to The Telegraph, Stone, Neeson, and other respected figures like Stephen Fry and F. Murray Abraham have called for Spacey's reintegration into the film industry. Sharon Stone praised Spacey as a "genius" and lamented the blame placed on him by aspiring actors. She described him as "so elegant and fun, generous to a fault and knows more about our craft than most of us ever will."

Likewise, Liam Neeson expressed his sorrow over the accusations but emphasized Spacey's positive traits. "Kevin is a good man and a man of character. He's sensitive, articulate and non-judgmental, with a terrific sense of humor," Neeson told The Telegraph. "He is also one of our finest artists in the theatre and on camera. Personally speaking, our industry needs him and misses him greatly."

F. Murray Abraham, who faced his own allegations of misconduct, also stood by Spacey, "Who are these vultures who attack a man who has publicly accepted his responsibility for certain behavior, unlike so many others?…He is a fine man, I stand with him, and let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

Stephen Fry criticized the documentary itself, arguing that comparing Spacey to figures like Harvey Weinstein is neither "proportionate" nor "justified." Spacey himself has openly criticized the documentary in an interview with Dan Wootton and on social media, lamenting the lack of a structured path back to Hollywood for him.

"Channel 4 has refused on the basis that they feel that asking for a response in seven days to new, anonymized and non-specific allegations is a 'fair opportunity' for me to refute any allegations made against me," Spacey stated, strongly opposing the one-sided narrative.

Despite various allegations over the years, including claims of misconduct dating back to high school, many charges have been dropped, and Spacey has been acquitted in notable cases. In 2022, a New York jury found that he did not molest actor Anthony Rapp, and in 2023, a UK court acquitted him of nine charges involving four complainants.

With significant legal battles behind him, Spacey remains adamant in his denial of all allegations and seeks rehabilitation within the industry that once celebrated him. Whether or not Spacey will return to Hollywood remains uncertain, but the calls from powerful voices like Stone and Neeson underscore a belief in redemption and a fair assessment of his talents.
