The 'Black Nativity' actor gets teased by his 'The Chi' co-star Luke James during an interview, where he admits that he still has love for his ex-girlfriend Serayah.

AceShowbiz - Jacob Latimore still has a soft spot for Serayah more than a year after they broke up. In a new interview, the actor has professed his love for his ex-girlfriend, who has been in a relationship with another man, Joey Bada$$.

Jacob recently stopped by "The Breakfast Club", where he was asked by Charlamagne Tha God if he would ever date another woman in the industry. "I don't know... I don't know. It's tough. It's hard to say," he responded, while pondering into the air.

"You still love her don't you?" the radio host asked again, referring to Serayah. Without hesitation, Jacob replied, "Absolutely. It ain't never go away."

Charlamagne and another guest, Luke James, began to tease Jacob about how he looked into the air as he reminisced on his past love. Luke even sang "Distant Lover" by Marvin Gaye to further poke fun at his "The Chi" co-star.

Luke went on admitting that he watched Serayah's show "Kingdom Business" the night before the interview. When asked if Serayah knows he watched her show, he said, "She know she killin' it." He further stressed, "It's all love."

Jacob's confession comes after Serayah and Joey were hit with break-up rumors. The speculation arose after the former "Empire" star was spotted stepping out with a mystery man in December 2023.

The man was later revealed to be R&B singer/songwriter K-Major, who captioned a picture of the two together on Instagram, "WHATEVER SHE WANTS [black heart emoji] 'Coming Soon.' " Serayah then commented on the post, "Can't wait to drop this [fire emojis]."

While it appeared that the two teased a musical collaboration, it didn't stop the split rumors, forcing Serayah to clarify her relationship status with Joey. She seemingly debunked the breakup speculation by posting a cute photo of her and the Brooklyn emcee on her Instagram Story, set to Tems' "Me & U".

As for Jacob and Serayah, they first became official in 2016 after meeting at the BET Awards through mutual friends. After years together, she confirmed their split in February 2023. "Me and Jacob are no longer together. Sadly we just grew apart and I love and respect his journey moving forward," she said in a statement after she was pictured getting cozy with Joey on a dinner date.
