Much to fans' excitement, ABC is reviving its popular home renovation show, which originally aired from 2004 to 2012, with a brand-new season and hosts.

AceShowbiz - ABC is set to revive its iconic reality series "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" in the 2024/25 TV season. The show, which originally aired from 2004 to 2012, will return with Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin, the co-founders of lifestyle brand The Home Edit, as hosts.
Shearer and Teplin have authored three New York Times bestselling books and hosted their own show on Netflix, "Get Organized with The Home Edit." They will bring their expertise in organization and design to the new iteration of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."
In each episode, Shearer and Teplin will work with deserving families in need of a home makeover. The duo will evaluate every item the family owns and transform their living space from the inside out, optimizing both style and functionality. Assisting them will be a team of builders and contractors from homebuilder Taylor Morrison, who will ensure that the renovations meet each family's unique needs.
The original version of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" was known for its heartwarming stories, emotional reveals, and sense of community involvement. The show would typically renovate the home of a worthy family in about a week, often amidst personal struggles or challenges.
The new series will continue this tradition, with Shearer and Teplin showcasing their organizational skills and stylish design sense to create truly transformative spaces for deserving families.
"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" will be produced by Endemol Shine North America and Reese Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine, which is part of Candle Media, in association with Walt Disney Television Alternative. The show will air on ABC and stream on Hulu the next day.
