The 'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)' hitmaker surprises social media users as she breaks the news about 'one of [her] biggest songs' that she created with Canadian singer Lu Kala.

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry has surprised social media users with her recent announcement. The "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" hitmaker left her fans excited after revealing that she has a new song that will come out.
On Tuesday, April 23, Canadian artist Lu Kala made use of her TikTok page to upload a video of her and Katy. In the clip, it could be seen that the two were standing close next to each other as the 39-year-old singer made an announcement.
While looking at the camera, the "Chained to the Rhythm" songstress said, "She helped me write one of my biggest songs that has yet to come out." Her statement prompted Lu to exclaim out of excitement before placing one of her hands over her face to hide it from the camera.
Katy went on to spill, "But it's coming out." She then playfully covered Lu's mouth with her hands before saying, "Don't say anything." She additionally shouted, "Lu Kala, everyone. Lu Kala!" In response, Lu declared, "I love you." The "I Kissed a Girl" songstress replied, "I love you too." Near the end of the clip, they shared a friendly hug.
Along with the footage, which was less than one minute in length, Lu wrote in the caption of the post, "I was not expecting any of this, wow," adding a crying face emoji. She continued, "Thank you @Katy Perry for letting me be the tiniest part of what you have coming. I can't wait for the world to hear it #katyperry #popmusic."
The TikTok video was later reshared on X, formerly known as Twitter. It did not take long for the tweet to be flooded with online responses from X users. In the replies section, one in particular voiced their excitement, " 'yet to come out' KATY IS COMING TO SAVE POP MUSICCC." Another gushed, "Oh we will be streaming and it will be a hit!"
In the meantime, a third seemingly could not wait any longer for the song to be released. The user asked, "So how long will it take for that song to come out?" Similarly, other users said that they "can't wait."
