The author first announced her plan to go under the knife when speaking to PEOPLE, saying, 'I'm going through a personal transformation journey currently and that includes a physical one, too.'

AceShowbiz - Gypsy Rose Blanchard's cosmetic surgery has been done successfully. After getting a nose job, the author unleashed the first picture post-procedure, which was obtained by TMZ.

In the photo, the 32-year-old could be seen hanging out at home with bandages wrapping up the new nose. While taking a selfie, she also put her frozen treat on display.

Gypsy first announced her plan to go under the knife when speaking to PEOPLE. "I'm going through a personal transformation journey currently and that includes a physical one, too," she told the outlet. "Wish me luck with my surgery and watch the whole thing this summer on Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up".

Gypsy's best friend, Nadiya Vizier, divulged that she's been wanting to get this done for a while. "She said she's a bit nervous, but she's happy it's going to be done," Nadiya explained. "The main thing is that she wanted a more feminine looking nose. She just wants to fix it up and give it a more feminine look."

"My main message is to just, people need to let her live, let her experience, if they know that she's doing something good or wrong, let her experience that. Let her learn from it," she added. "I feel like in a way, people are still trying to control her."

The plastic surgery arrived one week after it was revealed that Gypsy had separated from husband Ryan after nearly two years of marriage. The announcement was made in a private Facebook post obtained by PEOPLE.

In an interview with Daily Mail, Gypsy's now-ex claimed he's "not doing well" after their separation. "For me, it just came out of the blue... I had no idea she still had such strong feelings for him," he said, refferring to Gypsy meeting up with her ex-fiance, Ken Urker.

"I haven't spoken to her, so I just don't know what's going on," Ryan, who met Gypsy in 2020 while she was serving a 10-year sentence for the second-degree murder of her mother, Dee Dee Gypsy, further elaborated. "I'm at a loss. I'm really not doing well at all."
