The 44-year-old Australian actress took to Instagram Stories on Friday, March 29 to request fans to cease guessing about the anonymous woman. "Please stop speculating about the 'tennis player' in my book," she wrote. "It is NOT anyone I follow on social media or have been publicly photographed with!"
Wilson revealed that the romance with the unnamed sportsperson led her to a profound understanding of love for the first time. Prior to her relationship with Ramona Agruma, whom she is now engaged to, Wilson had only dated men publicly, feeling detached from those relationships.
"I could give up my career for this person, travel around the world on the tennis circuit," she wrote in an excerpt shared with People. "I describe it as cracking open my heart... I don't think I'd ever understood that until I felt that for a person."
Despite her passion for tennis and frequent attendance at matches worldwide, Wilson emphasized that the unnamed tennis player is not someone she is connected to on social media or has been seen with publicly.
The identity of the tennis player remains a mystery although an online thread has suggested the woman in question may be Karolina Muchova as the actress has been seen in the athlete's box at several tournaments.
Despite the speculation, Wilson is happily engaged to Ramona Agruma. They met in 2021 and made their red carpet debut in March 2023. They announced their engagement in February 2023 and welcomed a daughter, Royce, via surrogate in November 2022.
