AceShowbiz - Bill Skarsgard may now breathe a sigh of relief. The "It" actor managed to escape jail time after he got arrested in Sweden for marijuana possession last year.

According to TMZ, the 33-year-old got busted in October 2023 for possessing 2.43 grams of cannabis at Arlanda Airport in Stockholm. He pleaded guilty to the crime and submitted paperwork to the local court where he was being tried.

Bill was sentenced on Wednesday, February 14. As a result, he was ordered to pay a fine of 40,000 Swedish krona, approximately $3,825 USD. The "John Wick: Chapter 4" star will not face jail time, probation or parole.

Bill is a part of the famed Skarsgard acting family. His father is veteran actor Stellan Skarsgard, who is best known for his appearances in Matt Damon-starring film "Good Will Hunting", "Mamma Mia!", "Dune" as well as "Amistad".

Bill's brothers are all actors. They are "Succession" star Alexander Skarsgard, 47, "Oppenheimer" actor Gustaf Skarsgard, 43, Valter Skarsgard, 28, Ossian Skarsgard, 14, and Kolbjorn Skarsgard, 11. His 31-year-old sister Eija Skarsgard, meanwhile, is a model.

Bill, however, once declared that he didn't want to be recognized for his famous family. When speaking to PEOPLE in March 2016, he said he "wanted to be an actor ever since I was a little kid."

"As I got into my teenage years I thought, is it really me wanting this or because I want to follow in my dad's footsteps?" the Kro depicter in "Eternals" continued. He went on to note that he decided to pursue a career on big screens after exploring potential alternate careers involving science.

Bill then noted, "The association with my brothers and my father is already so big, I didn't want them to have anything to do with what I did." He further elaborated, "I needed them to feel that I am completely responsible for what I do."
