While the intense public scrutiny that comes with his status as Taylor's boyfriend is new to him, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end refuses to let the 'crazy ride' dampen his spirits.

AceShowbiz - Travis Kelce loves the "crazy, crazy ride" of dating Taylor Swift amid public scrutiny. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end confessed the attention their romance has received is "brand new" to him but he isn't uncomfortable with it and has instead been "having fun" along with "the majority of the world."

"You know, it's been a crazy, crazy ride that I could have never anticipated," he said on "The Pat McAfee Show".

"But I'm having fun with it. The majority of the world is having fun with it, outside all the cranky NFL fans that just don't want to see the Chiefs win. You know what, we're slowly reeling them in. They're fighting it right now."

The "Anti-Hero" singer has been a regular at Travis' games since she first came to watch him against the Chicago Bears on 24 September, and now the 34-year-old sportsman has revealed they had been getting to know one another for some time before then.

He said, "We had known each other for close to a month up to that point." He explained he "threw the ball in her court" and asked her to attend three days before the game.

He added, "It wasn't just an out-of-the-blue, 'Hey, come to the game.' I love it when Taylor comes and supports me and enjoys the game with the fam and friends. It's been nothing but a wonderful year, man."

Travis thinks their relationship is "beautiful" and he and Taylor, 33, have been ignoring any criticism. He said, "It's a beautiful thing, isn't it? Hopefully, everybody realises we're just two people supporting each other and having fun with it, man."

"It's nothing more than that, and how much the world wants to paint the picture and make us the enemy, we just have fun with it, and we enjoy every single bit of it."

And the couple are aware of NFL fans who have criticised the camera time the "Bad Blood" singer has received during games, with Travis insisting Taylor "has dealt with" similar negativity "forever." He added, "We hear it but we hardly ever talk about it. It's nothing to even talk about, nothing to really bring up."
