AceShowbiz - Megan Thee Stallion may have put smiles on her fans' faces with a new announcement. While celebrating the success of her latest single "Hiss", the "Girls in the Hood" raptress revealed that she will be hitting the road in the summer of 2024 with "The Hot Girl Summer" tour.

The 28-year-old hip-hop artist offered some details of the upcoming tour in a new interview. Speaking to "Good Morning America" on Tuesday, January 30, she spilled, "Oh, we're having the tour this year. 'The Hot Girl Summer' tour is going to be 2024, summertime."

On the reason behind choosing the specific season, Megan explained, "I feel like I've never been able to be outside doing my own thing during the summer, since like 2019. So this is going to be the first time that I drop an album on time for the summer." She went on to tease, "I do want to give the hotties the Megan Thee Stallion experience."

The new revelation came amid the success of Megan's newly-released single "Hiss". That same day, she shared one of the achievements that she has got with the song. She screenshotted a social media post featuring a message that read, "Megan Thee Stallion's 'Hiss' rises to #1 on the US Spotify chart for the first time ever with 1.649 million streams on day 4, up 52%."

The Grammy-winning rapper released the screenshot via Instagram. Along with it, she exclaimed in the caption of the post, "Number 1 on @spotify !!!" She went on to encourage her fans by writing, "Lets go HOTTIES keep running it up #HISS," adding a snake and flame emojis.

Megan unleashed the song "Hiss" along with its accompanying music video on Friday, January 26. She appeared to have taken a dig at Nicki Minaj's husband Kenneth Petty, who is a registered sex offender, by mentioning Megan's law, a federal law requiring law enforcement to publicly share information about registered sex offenders on the song.

Following the release, Megan was criticized by the father of a late girl named Megan Kanka, who inspired the law as she was murdered in the '90s by a sex predator. He told TMZ that "using his daughter's name in such a graphic/offensive manner" was "disrespectful" and "highly offensive to the pain his daughter and family felt." It was also reported that he is considering taking legal action against the rapper.
