Cori Broadus received support from her loved ones during her hospitalization.

Cori first revealed her medical emergency on Thursday. "I had a severe stroke this am," she wrote, adding two teary-eyed emojis. "I started breaking down crying when they told me." In a separate post, Cori lamented, "Like I'm only 24." She went on to question, "What did I do in my past to deserve all of this."

On Friday, she admitted that she feels "alone" as she hoped to be home soon. "I truly appreciate all the love and support fr...," she wrote on her Story. "again I'm human and I go thru s**t like everybody else which is why I'm so open about my life because I know I feel alone but we are never alone." She went on noting, "someone is always going thru damn near the same [two brown heart emojis]."

Cori's latest hospitalization came less than a year since she underwent surgery where a small piece of kidney tissue was removed to analyze any abnormalities. While doctors recommended she start Benlysta treatment, consisting of a shot once a month or by injection every week, the singer seemed to have been assured that her condition was still at a reversible stage.

In September 2022, Cori disclosed that she was diagnosed with lupus when she was just 6 years old. However, in an interview with PEOPLE issued in September 2023, Cori revealed that she had stopped taking her lupus medication and opted for a more holistic approach. She assured at the time that she was "better than [she's] ever been" since going "all natural."
