In a video circulating online, the 'Jack Ryan' actor appears to mutter, 'I can't wait to divorce' to his actress wife as they're posing together on the red carpet.

AceShowbiz - Emily Blunt and John Krasinski's red carpet moment at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards has sparked a debate about their conversation. Fans have been speculating about what the actor told his wife on the red carpet, with some claiming to hear the word "divorce."

In a viral video from the Sunday, January 7 event, the Jim Halpert depicter on "The Office" let out an awkward smile while posing together with the "Mary Poppins Returns" star in front of photographers. He appeared to mutter, "I can't wait to divorce" to his wife, who seemingly tried to stop him from talking about it.

"Did he say I can't wait to divorce? And she said hey and he stated I'm serious," one person speculated after watching the video. Another claimed, "I swear he's saying divorce but I want him to be saying 'get through this.' "

Others begged to differ though, with one sharing their own result of lip-reading, "I can't wait to get indoors' it was really windy and cold." Another theorized, "You can hear her say 'It's actually kinda chilly right now.' And he responds, 'I can't wait to get indoors.' "

Agreeing that the couple was talking about the weather, someone noted, "He says 'I can't wait to get indoors' and she says 'same.' " Someone else believes that John's comments might have to do with "hors d'oeuvres" or the "awards."

Emily and John married in Como in July 2010 after dating since November 2008. They have two daughters, Hazel, nine, and Violet, seven. The actress, who has starred in "A Quiet Place" films directed by her husband, recently said that she made the decision to step away from the camera to focus on motherhood.

The "Oppenheimer" star later clarified that she's simply taking a temporary break and will return to acting in a few months time. She told Deadline, "Honestly, that story got so overblown. I'm just taking a little downtime, not quitting Hollywood. I was just taking some months off to be with the kids."
