AceShowbiz - Congratulations are in order for "Golden Bachelor" stars Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist. The couple officially exchanged vows during a live TV special on Thursday, January 4. Taking place at La Quinta Resort and Club in La Quinta, Calif., the wedding was officiated by "Golden Bachelor" alum Susan Noles and aired live on ABC.

For the big day, Theresa was stunning in a white wedding dress by Badgley Mischka. His groom, meanwhile, looked dapper in a classic black tuxedo. Things went well during the nuptials until one strap on Theresa's gown broke before the couple could seal their nuptials with a kiss.

Thankfully, the rest of the ceremony went smoothly. In her vows, Theresa, whose dress featured a strapless plunging neckline, fitted bodice with mermaid silhouette, as well as a voluminous tulle train, said, "We have that same, deep love of family. We have so much love to share and now so many more people to share it with."

The 70-year-old bride added, "I promise to be your calm in a storm, to comfort you when you're sad, laugh with you when you're happy and to stick with you throughout it all - but most of all, to have fun and to enjoy for the rest of the time we have left on this Earth … I love you with all of my heart and I cannot wait to be your wife."

Gerry was visibly emotional during the ceremony. The 72-year-old retired restaurateur began his vows, "When I think of all the decisions we made here to be in this position tonight, I know the hand of God and the winds of fate have ordained this moment. From our first sip of chocolate shake to the last taste of Costa Rican coffee, I have learned that you are the woman I can't live without. I learned that you make me calm with the touch of your hand. I've learned you make me laugh with the easy comfort of a long-lost friend."

"I've learned you are a strong and independent woman - and your strength gives me joy. I've learned that you make me a better person, a better man because of your sensitivity and soft voice," he continued. "You are the love that came silently and without warning. You were authentic. Theresa, you have my heart, and I have yours."

Theresa and Gerry's families were fully supportive for the union as her daughter served as her matron of honor. The New Jersey native's daughter-in-law Amanda Nist and Gerry's daughters Angie Warner and Jenny Young were their bridesmaids. On the other hand, his granddaughters Charlee and Payton served as junior bridesmaids.

About 50 Bachelor nation stars were in attendance at the Palm Springs wedding. Those who made it to the guest list were Trista Stutter and Ryan Sutter, Jason Mesnick and Molly Mesnick, Desiree Siegried and Chris Siegfried, Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk, Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert, Kenny Braasch and Mari Pepin, Kaitlyn Bristowe, Tayshia Adams, Charity Lawson as well as new season of "The Bachelor" star Joey Graziadei.

The wedding marked the second one for both Theresa and Gerry. Prior to this, Theresa was married to William "Billy" Nist for more than 42 years before he died in 2014. As for Gerry, he was married to Toni Turner for more than 4 decades before she passed away in 2017.
