Ye's massive concert was initially set to take place at RCF Arena (formerly known as Campovolo) in Reggio Emilia on October 20 before being postponed for a week.

AceShowbiz - Things may not go as planned for Kanye West. The controversial hip-hop star's planned massive concert in Italy will likely not be taking place after all, according to Billboard Italy.

The event, which was never officially announced, was initially set to take place at RCF Arena (formerly known as Campovolo) in Reggio Emilia on October 20. The concert, however, got postponed to October 27 following backlash from locals.

Italian residents were not happy with the plan given Ye's past anti-Semitic comments. They also reportedly slammed the Yeezy designer for his admiration for Nazi's leader Adolf Hitler.

The new report came after a spokesperson for the venue of Kanye's show told Daily Mail, "Given the fact that a rail strike was planned the same day, and that heavy rain is due it was thought prudent to postpone the event. Our aim is to ensure the safety and security of all and if there is a transport issue then the concert cannot go ahead safely."

"And as it is open air, the heavy rain forecast would have also created problems," the spokesperson continued. "The organizers have been given an alternative date of October 27 and we are waiting to hear back if it is acceptable to them."

At the planned huge gig, the "Gold Digger" emcee would reportedly be joined by Ty Dolla $ign. It was also said that it would serve as the official global premiere of their new joint album.

Earlier this year, Ye made a surprise appearance at Travis Scott (II)'s concert at the Circus Maximus in Rome. Before Ye hit the stage, Travis introduced Ye as the "only one human being on this mother f**king planet that has ever walked side by side with me through anything and every mother f**king thing."

The former husband of Kim Kardashian performed "Praise God", a track from his 2021 album "Donda" featuring Travis. Ye appeared struggling to remember the full lyrics of the song, probably because it was his first performance after a while. During the August 7 show, the "Stronger" spitter also performed "Can't Tell Me Nothing" from his 2007 album, "Graduation".
