The 48-year-old, who has four children with three different women, offers a public apology after encouraging the LGBTQ+ community to 'thank a straight person this month for your existence.'

AceShowbiz - Justin Bieber's father has owned up to his mistake. Jeremy Bieber, who has come under fire for sharing a homophobic meme during Pride Month, finally issued a public apology to those who were "offended" by his post.

"Acknowledging the nuclear family is offensive? My apologies to those offended. Was not my intent," the 48-year-old wrote on Twitter on Wednesday, June 7. "Not that my opinion matters."

Jeremy was dragged online after sharing a meme featuring a rainbow flag. Alongside the since-deleted post, he sarcastically wrote, "Don't forget to thank a straight person this month for your existence."

Taking issues with Jeremy's tweet, one person slammed him by writing, "No one's thanking flop nepo daddies bye." Another added, "You should sit back down real quick."

Others, meanwhile, shamed Jeremy for not being as present as Justin's mom, Pattie Mallette, during the singer's early years. "don't forget to thank your son cause he’s the reason your electricity hasn't been shut off yet!" one user mocked him. Someone else wrote that they were not "expecting anything else from a grown man who leeches off of his son."

Instead of getting less hate, Jeremy still faced backlash due to his "weak" apology. "You knew what you were doing when you tweeted it and you also knew Justin would get thrown under the bus too, as if he hasn't already been through it??????" a Twitter user wrote, with another adding, "you know exactly the intention of what you said, don't pretend to be a saint. if you're prejudiced, so be it, but keep it to yourself."

Jeremy, who has four children with three different women, previously tweeted that people "need to celebrate families." He later added in a follow-up post, "U know the reason we're all here! The things this generation glorifies is unbelievable!"
