The actor is reportedly set to reprise Frank Castle/Punisher on the Disney+ upcoming series that will also see Charlie Cox portraying the titular character once again.

AceShowbiz - Jon Bernthal is soon reprising his Marvel character Frank Castle/Punisher. According to a new report, the actor is set to appear on Disney+'s "Daredevil: Born Again" that will also see Charlie Cox portraying the titular character once again.
Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that Jon will join Charlie and Vincent D'Onofrio, who will reprise Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, on the series. The filming reportedly will begin in New York this month.
Reps for Jon and Disney+ have yet to comment on the report. However, "The Punisher" actor appeared to confirm his return in an Instagram post in which he shared captionless photo of himself as the grieving father-turned-vigilante.
Jon first played the anti-hero in the second season of Netflix's "Daredevil" back in 2016. He was then given a spin-off series "The Punisher" on the streaming giant which ran for two seasons in 2017-19.
Back in 2021, "The Sopranos" star addressed the possibility of Frank Castle joining the MCU. "I think if there's any let up on that character, you do a disservice to the character, to every iteration of the character, to every comic book that's come before, and to all of the unbelievable fans of the character," he told The Hollywood Reporter at the time.
He added, "This character means so much to people in the military. So like I said before, it's not about whether you do the character; it's about whether you can do it right, and I'm only interested in doing it right."
Meanwhile, "Daredevil: Born Again" is planned to have 18 episodes as it eyes spring of 2024 premiere. It was said that other actors from Netflix's version of "Daredevil" series would not appear on the new show.
Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page and Elden Henson's Foggy Nelson were allegedly not on the roll call for the Marvel series. It is currently unknown if "Born Again" will recast the characters or they will excise them from the story.
