AceShowbiz - Newlywed actress Kaley Cuoco is promoting dog adoption by turning her beloved pooch's image into a new sock print.
"The Big Bang Theory" star is a proud mum to a variety of animals, but it was pit bull mix Norman who inspired Kaley for her new design in collaboration with brand officials from Sock Problems.
The blue, green and black socks, which she created with help from her stylist Brad Goreski, are covered with little pictures of the dog and features the slogan, "Adopt. Don't Stop".
"Norman is and has always been the inspiration for everything," Kaley gushed to People.com about the Sock Problems project, which is aimed at spreading awareness about the need to halt dog euthanisation by promoting the practice of spaying and neutering and pet adoption.
A portion of proceeds will benefit animal rescue organisation Paw Works - the same group Kaley and her new husband Karl Cook asked wedding guests to donate to in lieu of gifts.
"We have always loved this motto!" the actress explained of the Adopt. Don't Stop phrase. "Why would you 'buy' a dog when you can basically find any breed you want and adopt it? I also love 'who rescued who.' There has never been a truer statement said."
Kaley adopted Norman in 2010, when she began using her platform to promote animal kindness, and she is encouraging other pet lovers to do the same.
"Use social media for good!" she urged. "I've seen more animals find homes through Facebook and Instagram than any other outlet. Also, volunteer! These places (shelters) need daily help and the animals love the attention!".
