AceShowbiz - Warner Bros. and DC Films have unearthed a new image from their upcoming movie "Shazam!". The new photo gives a better look at the iconic costume of Zachary Levi's Billy Batson.

Also featured in the newly-released image, which is revealed through Entertainment Weekly, is the titular superhero's best friend Freddy Freeman (Jack Dylan Grazer). Freddy can be seen looking visibly amazed by the costume, which lights up, as he touches the Earth's Mightiest Mortal's chest.

The upcoming movie will follow young Billy (Asher Angel), who is assigned to a new foster where he befriends with comic book superfan Freddy. One day, Billy encounters a mysterious Wizard (Djimon Hounsou) who's been searching for ages to find the right successor to inherit his powers. He reveals the teen's been selected to gain an assortment of abilities, and all it takes is for Billy to say the magic word "SHAZAM!"

"Shazam!" is an adaptation of the comic book character created by writer Bill Parker and artist C. C. Beck in 1939's "Whiz Comics #2, Shazam!". The upcoming flick is expected to be a family-friendly entry in the notoriously dark and gritty DCEU.

In related news, leaked behind-the-scenes footage of the movie has found its way out online. According to an Instagram account named fan_dc.marvel, the videos come out of the Odessa International Film Festival. The footage features dubbed interviews with Levi and director David F. Sandberg.

It teases a scene of Shazam trying to stop a robbery. One of the videos even sees young Billy shouting the magic word, though it doesn't seem to be his own voice since it's dubbed. The footage also briefly glimpses Shazam!'s main villain, Doctor Sivana (Mark Strong).

Directed by Sandberg and written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, "Shazam!" is set to arrive on April 5, 2019 in the United States.
