The embattled comedian has replaced his high-profile legal leader Tom Mesereau with Pennsylvania attorney Joseph P. Green, Jr.

AceShowbiz - Troubled comedian Bill Cosby has fired his legal team as he prepares for sentencing following his sexual assault conviction.

The Cosby Show star will learn his fate in September, but first he'll have to hire new legal representation after letting all his lawyers go.

Pennsylvania attorney Joseph P. Green, Jr, has been retained by Cosby, and will replace his high-profile legal leader Tom Mesereau, who joined the comedian's team in August, 2017.

His efforts - and those of his fellow attorneys - failed to keep Cosby out of jail, and the funnyman was found guilty of three counts of aggravated indecent assault during a retrial that ended on 26 April.

Cosby, who could be facing three decades behind bars, is currently under house arrest.

Green becomes the embattled comedian's fourth primary lawyer Cosby has retained in 18 months.
