The other three movies that hit $2 billion at worldwide box office are 'Avatar', 'Titanic' and 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'.

AceShowbiz - The latest "Avengers" blockbuster has become one of only four films to cross the $2 billion mark at the global box office.

"Avengers: Infinity War" crossed the line on Tuesday, June 12 and now joins "Avatar", "Titanic", and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" as a bona fide super-movie.

"Infinity War" is Marvel's biggest hit to date, racing past 2012's "The Avengers". "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "Black Panther", which all made upwards of $1.3 billion at the global box office, and it's still making money.

The film is still in the top five at the North American box office on its 48th day of release, hauling in $7.2 million (GBP5.4 million) over it's seventh weekend. Infinity War also holds the record for biggest domestic debut ever with $257.7 million (GBP192 million) in its opening weekend.

Overseas, it's the third highest grossing release ever with $1.346 billion.
