AceShowbiz - It seems like ABC is not entirely letting "Roseanne" go. A new report suggests that the network is in the talks to bring back the comedy from the death with a new reboot. However, the planned show is reportedly centering on Sara Gilbert's Darlene instead of Roseanne Barr's Roseanne Conner.

According to TMZ, ABC honchos are exploring several options to revive the canceled show. One of the plans is re-branding the show and focusing on Darlene, Dan (John Goodman) and Roseanne's tomboy daughter.

Sara is allegedly excited with the idea, calling the other cast members to check their interest in the event ABC gives the reboot the green light. According to a source, John is "very interested" in the project.

Tom Werner, who produced "Roseanne" through his Carsey-Werner, is said to be involved in the planned reboot. ABC hopes that it will save people who are affected by the shocking cancellation following Roseanne's racist tweets against Valerie Jarrett.

Roseanne, who was behind the reason of the cancellation, recently begged ABC to save the show for the sake of cast and crew. "I begged Ben Sherwood at ABC 2 let me apologize & make amends. I begged them not to cancel the show," she tweeted. "I told them I was willing to do anything & asked 4 help in making things right. I'd worked doing publicity4 them 4free for weeks, traveling, thru bronchitis. I begged4 ppls jobs [sic]."

Roseanne apologized after her tweets, which saw her comparing Jarrett to an ape, drew criticism. "Today my words caused hundreds of hardworking people to lose their jobs. I also sincerely apologized to the audience that has embraced my work for decades. I apologize from the bottom of my heart and hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive me," she said in a statement.
