AceShowbiz - Michael B. Jordan is heading back to the small screen to star in a new animated series.

The "Black Panther" star will voice main character Julian Chase in "gen:LOCK", a series about a group of fighter pilots who are recruited to save the earth from weaponised robots, according to Deadline.

The series will air on Rooster Teeth's streaming service, and Jordan's company Outlier Productions will co-produce.

"We are excited beyond belief to announce Michael B. Jordan as the voice of Julian Chase in 'gen:LOCK' and welcome him to the Rooster Teeth community," a statement from Gray G. Haddock, "gen:LOCK" creator and head of Rooster Teeth Animation, reads. "Michael's visionary career choices and commitment to meaningful entertainment, not to mention his love of anime, line up perfectly with what drives Rooster Teeth, and we're thrilled for the opportunity to do some cool sci-fi storytelling together."

This isn't Jordan's first animated role - he has also voiced characters in "The Boondocks" and "Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox".
