Rocker Daniel O'Donoghue claims Arthur's 2016 popular ballad is too similar to his band's 2008 tune 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved'.

AceShowbiz - The Script rocker Daniel O'Donoghue is waging war against British singer James Arthur over allegations he ripped off one of the Irishman's songs.

O'Donoghue insists the melody and tempo of Arthur's 2016 release Say You Won't Let Go is too similar to his band's 2008 tune The Man Who Can't Be Moved to be a coincidence, and now he has filed suit.

In legal papers obtained by TMZ.com, the frontman also claims Arthur attempted to set up a meeting with the Hall of Fame hitmakers after losing his record deal in 2014, in the hopes of working together on a comeback song, but his request was denied. He released Say You Won't Let Go two years later.

Arthur, who shot to fame after winning Britain's The X Factor in 2012, has yet to respond to the copyright infringement claims.
