AceShowbiz - Former "Pretty Little Liars" star Lucy Hale has thanked fans for watching her latest TV show after learning the series has been canceled. Bosses at U.S. cable channel The CW have opted not to renew "Life Sentence" for a second season.
The drama surrounded Hale's character Stella as she learns she's no longer dying of cancer and has to live with the decisions she has made, while convinced she was near death.
The actress confirmed the news of the show's cancellation on social media on Tuesday, May 8, revealing she was "emotionally attached" to the project and "to everyone involved."
"Sometimes things don't resonate with an audience and shows just don't work," she writes, "but I'm so proud of what we accomplished & the experience I had..." She adds, "We created something and (sic) pure and no cancellation can take that away."
