Combs will join previously announced guests including Gabrielle Union and Colin Kaepernick on 'Dear Mama: A Love Letter to Moms' special.

AceShowbiz - Sean Combs a.k.a P. Diddy will pay tribute to his mum during a U.S. Mother's Day TV special later this month. The hip hop mogul has joined the "Dear Mama: A Love Letter to Moms" special, which will air on American network VH1 on 7 May - six days before the nation celebrates Mother's Day.

Diddy has previously praised his mom Janice Combs for working hard to raise him as a single parent.

"I was brought up by my mother and my grandmother," he told CBS News in 2016. "My father was killed when I was three. And one day, I had, you know, asked my mother for a pair of sneakers. And the look on her face that she couldn't afford it - it just made me realise that I needed to step up as a man."

Combs will join previously announced guests Gabrielle Union and Colin Kaepernick during the TV special, which will be hosted by Anthony Anderson and La La Anthony.
