Temple University academic advisor Marguerite Jackson claims Andrea Constand was lying when she said the actor drugged and sexually assaulted her in 2004.

AceShowbiz - A star witness in the Bill Cosby rape trial has claimed the comedian's accuser is lying. Temple University academic advisor Marguerite Jackson maintains she knows Andrea Constand isn't telling the truth about her alleged 2004 encounter with Cosby.

"I knew Andrea Constand and she said it didn't happen," Jackson revealed during Cosby's sexual assault retrial at Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, April 18.

According to Jackson, she worked with Constand and spent time with her around the time her then-colleague claims Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her, and revealed the accuser talked about reporting a public figure for misconduct. When Jackson asked Constand if she had in fact been raped, she said she hadn't but reportedly told her, "I could go get money and go back to school and open a business."

Constand is adamant she barely knew Jackson when they worked together at Temple. Jackson worked as an academic advisor with the athletic department between 2002 and 2004, during which she focused much of her time on the women's basketball team. Constand was the director of operations for the women's team at this time.

Jackson told Cosby's lawyers she was Constand's roommate for more than one road trip with the team.

On the stand last week, Constand testified to never rooming with anyone. Another Temple University employee, Pamela Gray-Young, also testified on Wednesday that Constand would room with other people and generally with academic advisors like Jackson.

Cosby returned to court last week to stand trial again for allegedly drugging and molesting Constand at his home in Philadelphia. The 80-year-old's first court case ended in a mistrial in June (2017), but prosecutors vowed to retry him. He has since pleaded not guilty to three charges of aggravated indecent assault.

Jackson was not allowed to testify at Cosby's first trial last year.
