AceShowbiz - Chris Brown has once again landed in hot water after photos of him appearing to choke a woman surfaced online. The photos were taken on Monday morning, March 26 outside a Miami home that he rented during the 2018 Ultra Music Festival.
In some photos obtained by TMZ, the singer was seen with his hands around a woman's neck as another guest appeared to try and intervene. The said woman looked distressed in several photos, but later smiled when Brown released his grip.
Despite the pictures, Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos denied the seriousness of the incident and said that Brown and the woman involved are friends. "She's a friend. It's obviously playful as she confirmed," Geragos told Billboard. "Whoever invaded their privacy will be held accountable."
Brown himself took to Instagram to insist that they were just playing around in the photos. "THANKS for all the publicity today. Y'all know damn well I ain't going down that road," he wrote. "There is no need to even defend myself on the matter. Everyone that's around (girl/guy) are my HOMIES. NO FOUL PLAY... NO IGNORANT S**T. END of discussion. Love."
Even though both parties insisted that it was a playful gesture, it appeared ex Rihanna was disappointed in him. A source told HollywoodLife.com, "Rihanna just had all the bad memories dredged up by that horrible Snapchat ad. The last thing she needs is for people to be talking about Chris Brown being violent with women again. It's just upsetting to her because inevitably it drags her back into something she really just wants to forget."
"It seems pretty clear Chris was just goofing around, but he's not getting a pass from Rihanna on this," the source continued. "It's just a bad look period. After everything they went through, she's disappointed that he'd even play around like that. It's just more proof to her that she made the right choice by moving on."
