Fans Debunk 'Proof' of BTS' Suga and Suran Dating
Celebrity

BTS' agency Big Hit Entertainment has also responded to the dating rumors which sparked after the two singers were allegedly spotted wearing couple items.

AceShowbiz - BTS' (a.k.a. Bangtan Boys) member Suga was recently hit with dating rumors, but not everyone is easily convinced. The 25-year-old rapper was reported in a relationship with fellow K-pop star Shin Su Ran, or better known simply as Suran.

One user from an online community site gathered supposedly "evidence" of the two's relationship based on Suran's Instagram posts. Suran recently posted the words "Shoo Shoo Shoo Shoo" which the user suggested as referring to Suga. The user also pointed out that the "I Got a Feeling" singer posted the word "yoongi (shine)" on Instagram, which is also Suga's birth name.

The user then mentioned Suran's photo of macaroons, which ingredients consist of sugar and egg. While sugar sounds like Suga, Suran's name means poached egg in Korean. The user additionally mistakenly said that Suga and Suran were given the best couple award at the 2017 Melon Music Awards.

However, many fans find this "evidence" ridiculous. "If a dating news had to happen, it should've happened through formal news, not from a speculation from just one person's Instagram lol. Also, the award SUGA and Suran received was for Hot Trend Award (producer and artist), what do you mean best couple award lol," one responds.

Another comments, "Dating rumors didn't start, it was just based off Suran's Instagram. Shoo shoo shoo is Suran's other name before she took the name of Suran (Baily Shoo.)" Another says, "We're not stupid haha, I can only laugh."

Suga and Suran's dating reports first sparked after they allegedly were spotted wearing couple items. BTS' agency Big Hit Entertainment quickly debunked the rumors, saying in a statement, "The dating rumors about Suran and Suga are not true. They've only worked on music production together."

Suga previously produced Suran's hit track "Wine" which was released in April 2017. The song became a huge success, peaking at No. 2 in South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart and has sold over 500,000 digital downloads. Suga and Suran received several nominations and awards for the song.
