Series Creator Aaron Korsh teases that the actors' exit from the USA Network legal drama will be 'bittersweet,' adding that the show 'going to honor the relationship of Mike and Rachel.'

AceShowbiz - Ahead of the premiere of the second half of its season 7, "Suits" releases a new sneak peek featuring the series' fan-favorite couple played by Meghan Markle and Patrick J. Adams. Coming via Entertainment Tonight, the footage shows Meghan's Rachel Zane and Patrick's Mike Ross discussing their big day before bidding final farewell at the end of the season.

Paralegal-turned-lawyer Rachel is seen busy making packets for an upcoming case. Later, her fiance and fellow attorney Mike drops by to have some flirty moments with Rachel, bringing back the memories of their early relationship. "You know that's why God created paralegals, right?" Mike tells Rachel, who explains why she's busy filing away papers.

Rachel then responds, "I do, but when I was a paralegal, a certain associate dumped all of his grunt work on me and I swore, I would never do the same thing." Fans of the legal drama surely know that Rachel is referencing to Mike by "a certain associate."

In his own defense, Mike reasons, "I'm sure that was just his way of flirting." Rachel half-jokingly responds with a zinger of her own, before adding, "I'm pretty sure that it wasn't appreciated." She continues, "I haven't said any vows yet. Have you?"

Series creator Aaron Korsh reveals in a new interview details of Meghan and Patrick's "bittersweet" exit from the series. "We definitely went back and forth on to make it sweet, bitter, or bittersweet, and collectively in the entirety of the finale there is," he said. "We think we struck the right balance, is I guess what I'll say," he tells TV Guide.

Aaron also adds that Patrick's decision to leave the series following Meghan also helps the writers wrap the storyline of the characters in a way. "It allowed us to have the potential to have them not have to split with each other," he explains. "We think we struck the right balance, is I guess what I'll say."

As for whether Rachel and Mike will end their relationship in a marriage, Aaron refuses to give an exact answer. Instead, he offers a seemingly vague answer for the fans. "Anybody that's been watching the show from the beginning, I think is going to draw a probably pretty accurate conclusion without me telling you exactly what is going to happen," he shares. "Mike basically falls in love with Rachel at first sight and then they've sort of been -- they've had their struggles. They've been together for a long time, so that's the hint I'll give."

Aaron continues, "There is no doubt that we are going to honor the relationship of Mike and Rachel before we send them off. We absolutely had all those moments in mind when we decided how we're going to send them off and what we're going to do."

Meghan, who is set to wed Prince Harry on May 19 at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, announced her exit back in November. USA Network confirmed in a statement, "From all of us at USA Network and Universal Cable Productions, we want to send our most heartfelt congratulations to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on their engagement. Meghan has been a member of our family for seven years and it has been a joy to work with her. We want to thank her for her undeniable passion and dedication to 'Suits', and we wish her the very best."

"Suits" returns for the final six episodes of season seven on Wednesday, March 28 at 9 P.M. on USA Network.
