The Carol Danvers depicter excitedly runs to welcome the British actor to the set of the Marvel movie in Los Angeles.

AceShowbiz - Jude Law is joining Brie Larson to film "Captain Marvel" in Los Angeles. On Friday, March 23, the actor was spotted for the first time on the Oxnard, California set of the upcoming Marvel superhero movie.

Law was wearing a black jacket, hiding what appeared to be his character's costume which has a blue design in the collar area. He also donned black pants with a similar green line. He was all smiles as he greeted a crew member. Larson, meanwhile, sported her character's Kree uniform.

According to Just Jared which obtained some of the pictures, Larson didn't notice at first when Law tried to say hello to her. After realizing that the British actor tried to say hello, the "Room" star who clutched an iPhone ran full speed to welcome her co-star.

A new report out of Ventura County, California suggests that the cast and crew were preparing to film a big carnival scene. According to The Ventura County Star, filming on the scene will begin on Friday at the Jim Hall Racing Club, with about 135 extras and a film crew of 150 people involved.

Larson and Samuel L. Jackson will reportedly be featured in the scene, which is set in 1986. Since "Captain Marvel" is supposed to be set in the 1990s, it's likely that the said scene is a flashback.

"Captain Marvel" centers on Danvers, an Air Force Pilot who debuted in the comics in 1968 as a human companion to the original Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell). During an accident, Danver's DNA was fused with that of an alien. The fusion imbued her with the superpowers of strength, energy projection and flight. Minn-Erva had similar powers.

Jude Law is cast as Walter Lawson/Mar-Vell, Samuel L. Jackson reprises his role as Nick Fury, Raul Torres stars as a military soldier, and Gemma Chan is tapped to portray Minn-Erva. Recently, the movie has brought in Lashana Lynch to replace DeWanda Wise, who had to drop out of the movie due to scheduling conflicts with the second season of Netflix and Spike Lee's "She's Gotta Have It".

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, the movie is due out March 8, 2019 in the United States.
