David Arquette Says He Dated Drew Barrymore, But She Denies It

The 'Ready to Rumble' star admits that he dated Drew Barrymore during the filming of 'Never Been Kissed', but the actress denies it.

AceShowbiz - In the latest episode of "Coach Surfing", David Arquette appeared as a guest. The "Ready to Rumble" star was presented with a series of movie clips and was asked to talk about his roles in those movies, including "Never Been Kissed". When the movie clip was played, he mentioned that he dated his co-star, Drew Barrymore.

In a clip of "Coach Surfing", he stated, "We also dated, but she denied it on Howard Stern." Referring to her denial, he emphasized, "But, we dated, Drew!"

He clarified that their relationship occurred long prior to their appearance in the 1999 romantic comedy film. He said, "Sorry, I got a big mouth. I talk. I say it like it is."

Additionally, he talked about a coleslaw scene from the film. The scene showed him eating actual coleslaw. He said, "I ate a lot of it that day. It was my whole idea to like, be covered in it, and just fully immerse myself in it."

The 1999 comedy film centered on a 25-year-old copy editor named Josie, who was played by Drew. One day, she was assigned to report undercover at South Glen South High School. Josie urged her brother Rob, who was played by David, to enroll as a student in the school. She was then involved in a series of experiences, including love affairs. For her report, she wrote that she's never been kissed. The entire city was moved by it. She also wrote that she would wait for Sam, her English teacher, to kiss her.

He once revealed his opinion about the actress, "She's just one of the sweetest, kindest people in Hollywood. She always has been, and she always will be. She's just a lovely, sweet person. We used to run around and just be silly."

David married Courteney Cox on June 12, 1999. They have a daughter Coco Arquette, who was born in 2004. In June 2012, David filed for divorce after nearly two years of separation from Courteney. The divorce became final in May 2013.

David dated Christina McLarty, an Entertainment Tonight correspondent, on and off from 2011. They announced they were expecting their first child together in November 2013. Christina gave birth to their son in 2014. They announced their engagement in July 2014. They were married on April 12, 2015 and their second son was born in 2017.

The 46-year-old actor recently starred in "Once Upon a Time in Venice", an action comedy movie in which he played Diesel Stone. He also starred as Jack Spencer in "Amanda & Jack Go Glamping" and appeared as himself in a 2017 episode of "The Untitled Action Bronson Show".
