The British singer followed the 'Tell Me You Love Me' singer on Twitter and unfollowed Gigi and mom Yolanda Hadid on Instagram after the split.

AceShowbiz - Is Zayn Malik already moving on from Gigi Hadid? The "Pillowtalk" hitmaker has recently followed Demi Lovato on Twitter following his shocking split from the 22-year-old model. Interestingly, he unfollowed both Gigi and her mom Yolanda Hadid on Instagram.

Zayn and Gigi announced on Tuesday, March 13 that they've called it quits after dating for two years. Both of them took to Twitter to share a statement addressing the split. Gigi wrote, "Breakup statements often seem impersonal because there is really no way to put into words what two people experience together over a few years... not only in a relationship but in life in general."

"I'm forever grateful for the love, time and life lesson that Z and I shared," she continued. "I want nothing but the best for him and will continue to support him as a friend that I have immense respect and love for. As for the future, whatever's meant to be will always be."

Zayn, meanwhile, wrote that he and Gigi "had an incredibly meaningful, loving and fun relationship." He said of his then-girlfriend of two years, "I have a huge amount of respect and adoration for Gigi as a woman and a friend. She has such an incredible soul."

"I'm grateful to all our fans for respecting this difficult decision and our privacy at this time," the former One Direction member concluded his statement. "We wish this news would have come from us first. We love you all."

Zayn and the Victoria's Secret model first sparked romance rumors in November 2015, after they were spotted leaving an American Music Awards after-party together. The two eventually confirmed the rumors when they made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 2016 Met Gala. They took a brief break shortly after the gala but rekindled their romance that summer.
