Lee Hwi Jae, Twin Sons Seo Un and Seo Jun Leave 'Return of Superman' After 5 Years

A source from the show has confirmed that the 'Battle Trip' host and his famous twin sons are leaving the variety show and have filmed their last episode.

AceShowbiz - Say it isn't so! "The Return of Superman" will bid farewell to another fan favorite family. On Tuesday, March 13, report emerged that Lee Hwi Jae and his twin sons Seo Un and Seo Jun would be leaving the show after more than four years.

Responding to the report, a representative from KBS2 has confirmed that it is true. The source from the network reportedly said, "It's true that Lee Hwi Jae's family decided to leave the show." The family reportedly filmed their final episode last week and their last episode will air in mid-April.

Lee Hwi Jae, Seo Un and Seo Jun are the only remaining original cast members of "The Return of Superman". They have starred on the show since its pilot episodes, which aired in September 2013. They become regular cast members of the show when it airs weekly on Sundays starting in November 2013.

The show has become one of the staple programs on the network's Sunday lineup. Other original cast members who departed the show earlier are actor Jang Hyun Sung and sons Jang Junu and Jang Junseo, singer Tablo and daughter Haru, as well as wrestler Choo Sung Hoon and daughter Choo Sarang.

Other former cast members include Uhm Tae Woong and daughter Uhm Ji On, Song Il Kook and his triplet sons Song Daehan, Song Minguk and Song Manse, Lee Beom Soo, his daughter Lee So Eul and son Lee Da Eul, and Ki Tae Young and daughter Kim Ro Hee among others.

Meanwhile, the current cast members besides Lee Hwi Jae are Lee Dong Gook and his five children, Sam Hammington and his two sons, Ko Ji Young and his son, as well as Park Hyun Bin and his newborn baby. It was recently reported that actor Bong Tae Kyu and his son were in talks to join the show.
