Iggy Azalea and Quavo Team Up on Dance Anthem 'Savior'

In a short clip that is posted on her Twitter account, Iggy reveals that the song is about finding your own strength within yourself.

AceShowbiz - Earlier this year, Iggy Azalea teased during CES 2018 press conference that she had a Quavo collaboration coming up. On February 1, the "Fancy" raptress finally unveiled the said track, which is entitled "Survivor".

The tropical-inspired house track finds the pair spitting lines about feeling lost and searching for a celestial palace. While Quavo handles the hook part, Iggy is in charges of all the verses. "Feel the weight of the world like I got a brick on me," she raps. "Had a dance with the devil and he got a grip on me/ I'm just tryna get to heaven, hope you got a ticket for me."

The track is set to be featured in the Monster Products Super Bowl commercial. A music video for the song will be released on February 2. In a short clip that was shared on Twitter shortly after the release of the track, Iggy revealed that the track is about saving yourself.

"It is not a record about you needing a man or a woman to come and save you in a relationship," she said in the clip. "It's about you being your own savior and finding your own strength within yourself to figure it the f**k out. It's a really hard record for me to have written and I think it's going to be one I really struggle to perform too, just 'cause I'll probably cry every single time."

"Savior" is the lead track off Iggy's upcoming sophomore album "Surviving the Summer", her first album since signing to a new label called STS. It is still unknown, though, whether the Australian female emcee will include songs off "Digital Distortion" in her upcoming album.

Back in July last year, Iggy went on a Twitter rant after the CEO of her former label, Steve Bartels, opted not to release another single off "Digital Distortion", which had already been scrapped. "Steve Bartels says he doesn't want to release another single for my album unfortunately. So that's that," she tweeted at the time.
