When asked on Twitter about the possible collaboration, the Los Angeles-based band only gives ambiguous responses like a smiley face and a gif of Elmo shrugging.

AceShowbiz - It looks like a collaboration between Maroon 5 and Bangtan Boys a.k.a BTS may really be happening. The two groups first sparked the collaboration rumors when Maroon 5 started following BTS on Twitter last month. It led many fans to believe that they have already gotten in contact and have started on their collaboration.

A fan of the South Korean boyband, who really wanted their collaboration, decided to send a request to Maroon 5 via Twitter. "PLEASE MAKE A COLAB WITH @BTS_twt," so the fan wrote, to which the Los Angeles-based band responded with a smiley face.

Another fan replied, "Don't play with my emotions! Tell me this means you'll do a collaboration with @BTS_twt." This time, Maroon 5 just replied with a gif of Elmo shrugging, playing with the fans' heart even more.

"But really what is the answer??" one other fan responded, adding a loudly crying face and a face with tears of joy emojis. This time, Maroon 5 got fans even more excited by replying, "Not sure you can handle it."

Following the band's latest response, many fans shared pictures of money as they wrote similar captions like "We will give you all our money," "How much do you need?" and "I am ready to give you my money." Meanwhile, Maroon 5 hasn't responded again.

Should the rumors be true, it will be BTS' third time collaborating with American musicians. The seven-piece boyband first collaborated with Steve Aoki on their hit track "Mic Drop (Remix)", which received commercial success as it topped several music charts shortly after the release.

After that, the group's leader RM (previously known as Rap Monster) was featured on the remix version of Fall Out Boy's "Champion", which found him delivering two verses in English. There are also rumors going around saying that BTS will collaborate with The Chainsmokers on a track allegedly called "Best of Me".
