AceShowbiz - The fallout continues for Kevin Spacey following the mounting sexual assault and harassment allegations against the "House of Cards" actor. The Oscar-winning actor has been cut from CBS' upcoming "Carol Burnett 50th Anniversary Special".

According to Variety, Spacey took part in the taping which was taken back in October in Los Angeles. The 58-year-old actor performed a musical number with Carol Burnett, Kristin Chenoweth and Bernadette Peters.

However, following the sexual misconduct allegations including several from "House of Cards" crew members, Spacey will no longer be featured in the special, which is set to air on December 3. The site also states that CBS has yet to make a decision on the status of the number itself.

The two-hour special is set to feature a slew of guests, including Martin Short, Jim Carrey, Kristin Chenoweth, Bill Hader, Jay Leno, Jane Lynch, Harry Connick Jr., Bernadette Peters and Maya Rudolph.

CBS is the latest to distance itself from the disgraced actor. Previously, Netflix announced that it severed ties with Spacey after "Star Trek: Discovery" actor Anthony Rapp alleged that Spacey made sexual advance on him when he was 14 years old. Following Rapp, several people came forward with sexual harassment accusations against Spacey, with the latest one coming from eight anonymous former and current employees of "House of Cards".

Not stopping there, the streaming giant also announced that "House of Cards", its popular political drama starring Spacey, would conclude after not-yet announced season 6. It was also reported that the series was considering to kill off Spacey's character, Frank Underwood.

However, Netflix seemingly isn't entirely ready to give up on the "House of Cards" franchise. Multiple ideas for a potential spin-off were reportedly in early stages of development on the streaming platform and producer Media Rights Capital. One idea is to have a spin-off revolving around Doug Stamper, a political aide-de-camp played by Emmy nominee Michael Kelly.
